Our goal is to assist seniors and their families in finding the care and support they need. We are seeking an enthusiastic and driven Director of Community Relations to help build relationships with referral sources and expand our client base.
Position Overview: As the Director of Community Relations, you will serve as a key representative for Always Best Care. Your main responsibility will be building and maintaining relationships with key referral sources, including hospitals, senior communities, hospice and home health agencies, and other related organizations. You will be responsible for driving referrals, meeting with potential clients and their families, and ensuring that Always Best Care’s services are well-known within the local community of Chapel Hill/Durham.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Building and maintaining relationships with key referral sources, including hospitals, senior communities, hospice and home health agencies, and civic groups.
- Promoting Always Best Care services through presentations and educational sessions to referral partners such as physicians, nurses, and senior care communities.
- Developing a territory call cycle based on market analysis, ensuring that all accounts are regularly contacted.
- Meeting with clients and family members to explain services and provide solutions for their senior care needs.
- Utilizing pre- and post-call planning to maximize the effectiveness of interactions and account penetration.
- Maintaining a high volume of client calls and ensuring regular contact with existing and potential referral sources.
- Practicing exceptional organization, communication, presentation, and follow-up skills.
- Reporting field activities via email, Outlook, CRM, and other required technologies.
- Achieving assigned sales goals and objectives by building relationships, generating referrals, and converting them into clients.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated exceptional interpersonal skills, including multi-tasking and problem-solving.
- Ability to present well to clients, referral partners, and strategic alliances.
- Solid understanding of senior care, including a basic understanding of medical terminology related to senior care and rehabilitative services.
- Comfortable with closing business and confidently asking for referrals.
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) and ability to build rapport quickly.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to quickly learn specific Always Best Care technologies and tools.
- Must be able to obtain certifications relevant to health and safety programs.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance are required.
