Position Overview:
As an LPN, you will be responsible for educating, mentoring, and training new and current caregivers to ensure they are well-prepared to provide top-quality care for our clients. You will collaborate with the management team to design and implement training programs, provide ongoing support, and ensure that caregivers meet or exceed the standards set by Always Best Care. This role will be key in improving the quality of care delivered to our senior clients.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct training sessions for new and existing caregivers, ensuring they understand the scope of care required for each client and best practices for providing safe, compassionate care.
- Review and train on topics including but not limited to patient safety, medication administration, personal hygiene assistance, mobility support, and caregiving techniques.
- Monitor caregivers’ progress and provide constructive feedback and additional training when necessary.
- Collaborate with management to identify ongoing training needs and develop appropriate materials.
- Conduct evaluations and assessments to ensure caregivers' skills and knowledge are up to the company's standards.
- Provide support and guidance to caregivers in the field, offering advice and answering questions about patient care when needed.
- Assist with the orientation of new caregivers, ensuring they are fully equipped to succeed in their roles.
- Keep training documentation organized and up-to-date, including certifications, training records, and feedback.
- Maintain compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations and Always Best Care’s policies and procedures.
- Provide periodic in-service training on various caregiving topics as needed.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth client and caregiver experiences.
Qualifications:
- Current LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) license in the state of North Carolina.
- Valid Driver's License, active car insurance, and vehicle registration required.
