Job Summary : Always Best Care - Charleston, SC is seeking a reliable and compassionate Weekend-Pet loving Care Professional to assist our elderly and disabled clients in their homes in Charleston, South Carolina. You will provide personalized care to ensure the physical, emotional, and social needs of our clients are met. This is a part-time hourly healthcare / medical position in the franchise industry, working on weekends. As an individual contributor, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on our clients' lives. Compensation & Benefits : The Weekend- Pet loving Care Professional position at Always Best Care offers a competitive hourly rate of $16 per hour, paid weekly. Additionally, we offer flexible scheduling, ongoing training and development opportunities, and a supportive work environment. Responsibilities : - Assist clients with daily tasks, including showering, feeding, and medication reminders - Perform light housekeeping duties, such as laundry, dishes, and tidying up - Provide pet care, including feeding, walking, and playing - Engage in meaningful conversations and activities with clients to promote social interaction and mental stimulation - Monitor clients' health and report any changes or concerns to the supervisor - Help clients with mobility and transfers, as needed - Maintain a safe and clean environment for clients and their pets - Follow care plans and instructions provided by the supervisor - Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and the supervisor Requirements : - High school diploma or equivalent - At least 1 year of caregiving experience - Compassionate and patient with a positive attitude - Ability to work independently, follow instructions, and adapt to changing situations - Good communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to pass a background check and drug screening - Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation EEOC Statement : Always Best Care is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, genetic information, veteran status, or any other legally protected status.
