Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aides to provide essential support to individuals in their homes or assisted living facilities. As a Home Health Aide, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by assisting with daily activities and ensuring their safety and comfort. This position requires a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA regulations while delivering high-quality care.
Duties
- Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Administer medications as prescribed and ensure proper documentation of medication administration.
- Observe and report changes in clients' health status or behavior to the supervising nurse or healthcare provider.
- Perform light housekeeping duties such as laundering clothes, cleaning living areas, and preparing meals.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
- Assist with mobility needs, including lifting and transferring clients safely.
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in home health care, long-term care, or assisted living is preferred.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to patient confidentiality.
- Basic CPR certification is a plus; willingness to obtain if not currently certified.
- Strong observational skills to monitor patients' conditions effectively.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds as needed.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with clients, families, and healthcare teams.
