Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Launder clothing and bedding as needed to maintain a clean environment.
- Monitor and document vital signs, reporting any changes in health status to the supervising nurse or healthcare provider.
- Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental well-being.
- Assist with meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition for clients.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Support clients with mobility assistance and transfers, ensuring their safety at all times.
- Offer hospice care support when necessary, providing comfort during end-of-life stages.
- Observe patients for any changes in condition or behavior, reporting findings promptly.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Home Health Aide or in a similar caregiving role is preferred but not mandatory.
- Certification in CPR is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with working with individuals with disabilities or dementia care is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of patient observation techniques and documentation practices is essential.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and privacy.
