Responsibilities
- Provide personal care services, including bathing, grooming, and dressing assistance.
- Assist clients with meal preparation and cooking nutritious meals tailored to their dietary needs.
- Help with medication administration as prescribed by healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of client care activities.
- Perform light housekeeping duties such as cleaning and laundering to ensure a safe and hygienic environment.
- Support clients in engaging with their community through social interaction and recreational activities.
- Follow established care plans while adapting to the changing needs of clients.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare team members regarding any changes in client condition or needs.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in long-term care or home community care is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and basic medical record keeping is advantageous.
- Ability to follow care plans and understand systems related to patient care.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach to caregiving.
