What are the responsibilities and job description for the Watercraft Inspector-Koochiching County position at Always There Staffing, Inc?
The Watercraft Inspector serves to inform and educate the public to the threats of ecologically harmful aquatic invasive species to Minnesota waters. Inspectors work at public water access sites educating the public by providing information to watercraft users and conducting a brief survey while inspecting watercraft for invasive species.
As a Level 1 Watercraft inspector, it is your responsibility to:
- Ensure personal and public safety
- Educate the Public and distribute written information to watercraft users
- Perform Watercraft inspections and complete survey
- Determine if decontamination of watercraft is required
Level 1 Watercraft Inspectors will be required to attend and to pass a MN DNR inspection training course online and in-person.
Minimum Qualifications:
- At least 18 years of age
- Available to work weekends, weekdays and holidays on a regular basis throughout employment
- A valid Minnesota Driver’s license
- Available to work in multiple locations throughout Koochiching County.
- Must be able to use an electronic tablet to conduct survey and be able to upload results
(training will be provided)
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 40 per week

- 4 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Holidays
- No nights
- Weekends only
