Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Construction Manager to oversee and coordinate construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction management, with expertise in project scheduling, contract management, and team leadership. This role requires a proactive approach to ensure that projects are completed on time, within scope, and in accordance with safety standards.
Duties
- Manage all phases of construction projects, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
- Must have strong knowledge of directional boring, aerial work and plow/trench work.
- Must have background with fiber optic placement, splicing and testing.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to develop project plans and specifications.
- Oversee the daily operations on the construction site, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
- Utilize Penguin Data for project management tasks including documentation and communication.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and address any issues that arise.
- Prepare and review contracts, ensuring all terms are met by all parties involved.
- Develop detailed construction estimates based on blueprint reading and schematics.
- Coordinate project scheduling to optimize workflow and resource allocation.
- Maintain effective communication with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
Skills
- Proficient in construction management principles and practices.
- Strong knowledge of construction estimating techniques.
- Experience with blueprint reading and understanding of schematics.
- Familiarity with project scheduling tools and software such as Bluebeam.
- Ability to build strong relationships with contractors, clients, and team members.
