Job Summary
The Telecommunications Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and maintenance of telecommunications systems within the organization. Duties
- Lead the design and implementation of telecommunications systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Coordinate with project teams on construction sites to assess telecommunications needs and provide solutions.
- Develop and manage project schedules, ensuring timely completion of all phases of telecommunications projects.
- Prepare and review contracts related to telecommunications services and equipment procurement.
- Utilize software tools such as Penguin Data, Service Fusion for project planning and documentation.
- Create schematics and detailed plans for telecommunications installations.
- Oversee construction estimating processes related to telecommunications projects.
- Maintain effective communication with stakeholders to ensure project alignment and address any issues that arise.
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources efficiently while adhering to quality standards.
- Manage underground crews on forecasted work.
- Work with Fiber splicers on turning up cabinet's.
- Manage cash flows.
- Track incoming and outgoing material.
- Weekly call with customer.
Skills
- Proficiency in Civil 3D and Bluebeam software for design and documentation purposes.
- Strong understanding of contract management within the telecommunications sector.
- Experience with Prolog or similar project management tools is preferred.
- Knowledge of construction site operations, including safety protocols and best practices.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong project coordination abilities to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Ability to read and interpret technical schematics related to telecommunications systems.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to liaise with team members, clients, and stakeholders.
