Position Overview:
We're seeking a detail-oriented baker for our overnight team. While specific macaron experience isn't required, your patience and precision will be key to mastering our artisanal techniques through our comprehensive training program.

Key Responsibilities:
- Execute macaron production following our established recipes and quality standards
- Maintain detailed production logs on designated clipboard, including:
- Total number of macarons produced per batch
- Waste tracking and percentage calculations
- Final production count for inventory tracking
- Prepare macaron shells and fillings with precise attention to detail
- Monitor temperature and humidity levels during baking process
- Maintain consistent size, texture, and appearance of macarons
- Complete thorough cleanup of work area, including:
- Washing all used equipment and tools
- Wiping down all work surfaces
- Sweeping and mopping floors
- Proper disposal of any waste
- Ensuring kitchen is spotless for day team
Schedule & Handover:
- Overnight shift: 2 AM - 8 AM
- 4-5 shifts per week
- Must be available weekends
- Daily handover at 8 AM to day shift bakers includes:
- Completed production logs on designated clipboard
- Clean, organized workspace
- Review of production numbers and waste tracking
Requirements:
- 1 years of general baking experience
- Food handler's certification
- Reliable transportation for overnight shifts
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Interest in Asian-inspired flavors and pastries
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently
Training & Probationary Period (3 months):
- Starting rate: $18-21/hour during probation
- Comprehensive one-month hands-on training includes:
- Production techniques and quality standards
- Proper documentation for inventory control
- Understanding production planning
- Waste reduction strategies
- Cleaning procedures and standards
- Success metrics for probation include:
- Maintaining consistent macaron quality with maximum 5% waste rate
- Accurate production logs for inventory management
- Clear communication during shift handover
- Independent work capability after training period
- Maintaining immaculate workspace
- Increase to $20-22/hour after successful completion of probation
