Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Material Handler to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the logistics and supply chain operations by ensuring the timely and accurate movement of materials within the warehouse. This position requires a strong attention to detail, the ability to operate various equipment, and a commitment to maintaining safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Operate pallet jacks and clamp trucks to transport materials throughout the warehouse.
- Assist with shipping and receiving tasks, ensuring all incoming and outgoing shipments are accurate and properly documented.
- Utilize a warehouse management system (WMS) for tracking inventory levels, order picking, and stock replenishment.
- Perform heavy lifting as required to move products and materials safely.
- Conduct regular inventory checks to maintain accurate stock levels and report discrepancies.
- Follow safety protocols while operating heavy equipment and performing warehouse tasks.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and meet operational goals.
Skills
- Experience in shipping and receiving processes within a warehouse environment.
- Proficiency in operating RF scanners for inventory management.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting consistently throughout the shift.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in order picking tasks.
- Experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts or clamp trucks is a plus.
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $18.50 per hour
