As the Spa LMT Trainer for the Nordic Spa, you will be responsible for providing our guests with therapeutic and personalized massage experiences that enhance their state of wellness and relaxation. You will be the champion of wellness using massage therapy as a true benefit for both one's mind and body. Key Focuses
- Provides therapeutic massage and bodywork tailored to guest needs.
- Maintains professional product inventory for in treatment use.
- Effectively plans, checks, and manages the massage therapist team schedule via Spa Software throughout the day to maximize availability of treatments.
- Provides ongoing training and feedback to all LMT’s to meet company standards of quality, service, and productivity.
- Regularly checks schedule for new bookings and any changes in appointments.
- Assigns side tasks and completion of such for the massage therapist team.
- Ensures massage therapists are following all professional standards and internal SOP's at all times.
- Regularly checks commission report and updates Spa Operations Administrator and Spa AGM of any corrections needed.
- Monitors and manages inventory for massage therapy supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels and proper storage to support smooth operations.
- Addresses and resolves guest issues and complaints effectively using problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
- Communicates to management all incidents or concerns involving staff, guests, equipment, or facilities requiring attention.
- Champions safety protocols and ensures compliance with quality standards.
- Leads by example with a hands-on approach to spa guest experience.
- Assigned deliverables are executed in a manner that requires little or no follow-up; both in terms of timeliness, scope, and quality.

Experience/Passions/Education
- Current State of Alaska Massage Therapy License.
- Experience in a leadership role in guest service or massage team.
- Ability to train, coach and develop a team.
- Proficient in Windows, PMS and MS office applications.
- Proficient in POS, hotel reservations systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Working Conditions
As the Spa LMT Trainer, you will have the ability to work a variety of shifts including early mornings, late evenings, weekends and holidays. The employee is regularly required to be on their feet, reaching with their hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Visual ability to observe employees in the workplace, analyze operations and detect situations of concern with regard to areas such as employee performance, grooming, training and policy adherence. Employee may be required to pass a functional capacity test developed for this job.
