Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Butler to provide exceptional service in a private residence or estate. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in personal assistance, property management, and housekeeping management. As a Butler, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the household, delivering high-quality customer service, and maintaining an organized and welcoming environment.
We are working with an excellent family office, who is looking to hire a full-time executive butler to work mainly out of their Hamptons property with some New York City needs. This is a full-time position working in season with Weekend needs and off-season can be a Monday through Friday position. Flexibility is key in this role. This is a formal and fully staffed household and they are looking for someone who is excellent at curating guest experiences. someone with an executive Butler background, hotel experience or working on a yacht. This can be anything from service with meals, to hosting a party, setting up activities, formal service table experiences and a strong concierge background. Housing can be provided in the Hampton property offsite for the right candidate ideally someone local and must have experience working in the Hamptons and New York. 150 to 180 per year offered and a full benefit package.
Relocation candidates are welcome to apply especially if they have worked abroad but are eligible to work in the US and have had Hamptons experience as well.
Duties
- Oversee daily household operations, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standards.
- Provide personal assistance to household members, including managing schedules and appointments.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the residence, performing residential cleaning duties as needed.
- Supervise housekeeping staff, ensuring adherence to cleaning protocols and standards.
- Plan and coordinate events, including dinner parties and gatherings, ensuring all details are managed seamlessly.
- Manage inventory of household supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary.
- Serve meals and beverages with professionalism during events or daily dining experiences.
- Address any guest requests or concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction.
Skills
- Proven experience as a personal assistant or in a similar role within residential or hotel environments.
- Strong knowledge of property management practices and residential cleaning techniques.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on creating a welcoming atmosphere for residents and guests.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in event planning with attention to detail for successful execution of gatherings.
- Strong administrative skills, including managing schedules and correspondence efficiently.
- Supervisory experience with the ability to lead and motivate staff effectively.
