Property & Estate Manager – Danbury, CT
We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Property & Estate Manager to oversee the care, security, maintenance, and overall well-being of a 3,397 sq. ft. residence and farm property in Danbury, CT. This role requires a hands-on professional with a 24/7 mindset who can work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring smooth operations and optimal property upkeep.
Key Responsibilities
Property & Grounds Management
- Oversee the maintenance, appearance, and general upkeep of the residence and farm buildings.
- Supervise and coordinate landscaping, lawn care, and seasonal maintenance.
Vendor & Contractor Oversight
- Hire, schedule, and manage external vendors for landscaping, snow/ice removal, repairs, and general property maintenance.
- Review quotes, negotiate contracts, and ensure quality service.
Preventative Maintenance & Repairs
- Conduct routine inspections of household systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and security systems.
- Ensure all equipment, farm tools, and household vehicles are well-maintained and operational.
- Implement and follow a Preventive Maintenance Program for all estate equipment.
Emergency Response & 24/7 Availability
- Act as the primary point of contact for emergencies such as flooding, storm damage, or urgent repairs.
- Ensure properties are winterized and prepared for extreme weather conditions.
Animal Care Coordination
- Must be comfortable around animals and ensure their environment is well-maintained.
Household Support & Owner Representation
- Assist with deliveries, inventory management, and household organization.
- Serve as the owner’s representative for major construction projects.
- Perform scheduled property inspections and provide updates on maintenance needs.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in estate, property, or facilities management required.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities to coordinate vendors and manage property staff.
- Must be comfortable in a farm setting and working around animals.
- Valid driver’s license required.
Schedule & Compensation
- Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week (with flexibility for emergencies).
- Salary: $125,000 – $150,000 based on experience.
