JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Maintain current licensure in the field of Recreation Therapy, Art Therapy, Music Therapy, or Expressive Therapy.
- Knowledge of the principles and practices of your specific discipline.
- Knowledge of the various appropriate activities used for the therapeutic treatment of adults experiencing a mental health crisis.
- Knowledge of the use and effectiveness of a trauma-informed care approach.
- Ability to provide direct care to adults in an inpatient psychiatric setting.
- Ability to plan and implement individual and group sessions.
- Ability to assess the effectiveness of an activity therapy program.
- Ability to complete assessments and documentation within 24 hours.
- Ability to work with professional and other personnel in the area of work being done.
- Ability to communicate effectively with others.
- Ability to organize and coordinate the work of others, as appropriate.
- Ability to maintain appropriate supplies and materials for interventions.
