Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Person to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in facilities maintenance and mechanical knowledge, ensuring that our facilities are safe, functional, and well-maintained. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Duties
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on buildings, equipment, and systems.
- Conduct inspections to identify issues and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and repair machinery and equipment.
- Supervise maintenance projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards.
- Provide exceptional customer service when interacting with staff and residents regarding maintenance requests.
- Execute residential painting tasks as needed to maintain aesthetic appeal.
- Operate welding equipment for repairs or modifications as required.
- Work with logic controllers for automated systems troubleshooting.
- Use an Ohmmeter and other electrical testing tools to diagnose electrical issues.
Requirements
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a related field.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform repairs on various systems.
- Familiarity with welding techniques is preferred.
- Experience in residential painting is a plus.
- Ability to read blueprints, technical manuals, and schematics.
- Proficient in using electrical testing tools such as an Ohmmeter.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
