2025 Door, Gate, Access Control Apprentice/Technician

**Commercial Door/Gate Apprentice/Technician ($26-$45/hr Performance Pay Benefits)

-Pay Scale: $22-$46/hr Base w/ commission, bonuses & other paid earnings!

*Responsibilities:*

· Respectfully Greet & listen to customers’ problems & address them professionally.

· Troubleshoot, service, repair, & install doors, gates, & access systems.

· Provide a typed description of all work performed on the iPad.

· Take pictures & measurements, & type recommendations for repair.

· Communicate recommendations and repairs to customers, dispatch & salespersons.

· Customer Service: Ability to communicate clearly & be cordial with customers.

· Team Player Capabilities: Communicate to Management efficiently, be forward-thinking, problem-solving, great attitude & drive.

*Qualifications:*

· Mechanically inclined

· General knowledge of computers, tablets or smartphones.

· Background in the door and gate Industry (Not required but preferred)

· Measuring & Estimating (on-site)

· Knowledge of door & gate systems & operations.

· Welding skills

· Good driving record/DMV

· Good Communication skills (verbal and written/typed) to customers & Management.

· Physically able to move items weighing 75lbs or higher.

· Able to crouch, climb, kneel, and stand for extended periods of time.

· Work with minimal supervision

· Must have own hand tools (AM/PM will provide power tools, truck, & uniform attire).

Hours are Mondays through Fridays. Successful candidates will receive an excellent wage and benefit package including paid vacation, health insurance, and a simple IRA program.

NOTE: This position requires being on call once a month during after-hours which would include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
