What are the responsibilities and job description for the Customer Service Representative position at AM Rental and Sales?
Priority Duties:
- Answer incoming phone calls 1st or 2nd ring, WITH A SMILE.
- Locate and thoroughly quote rental rates.
- Greet customers with a smile as they walk through the door and offer immediate assistance.
- Write rental contracts:
- Accurately/thoroughly complete contract.
- Check "rentals out" everyday.
- Make and schedule reservations. Maintain rental reservation file.
- Update/Call over due list daily.
- Alert bookkeeper of over due contracts.
- KNOW RENTAL EQUIPMENT:
- Where it is on the lot or in-house
- What it does
- Operating capabilities
- Restock merchandise shelves.
- KEEP SHOWROOM SPARKLING CLEAN AND NEAT. Arrange displays attractively and neatly.
- KNOW SALES ITEMS:
-Where items are located.
- Parts:
- Over-the-counter sales.
- Report items to be reordered
- Check parts in and stock shelves
- Schedule deliveries and pickups:
- Maintain accurate delivery and pickup records
- Notify shop of deliveries and pick ups
- Maintain daily contract file:
- Update counter file system daily
- file "final" and "amount billed" contracts daily
- "Power Down" main terminal at least 3x's each week. IMPORTANT
GENERAL DUTIES
- Assist with monthly statement mailing:
- Separate statements, fold and stuff envelopes
- File duplicate copies in appropriate account
- Maintain a professional image/appearance
- Filing
- Handle customer complaints - refer to management if needed
- Maintain clean display areas:
- Counter and floor behind counter
- dust displays and merchandise in showroom
- Help keep parts room neat and orderly.
- Attend store and safety meetings.
- Perform other duties
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 44 per week
