QA / QC Mechanical Inspector (HVAC – ASHRAE – SMACNA)

Summary :
We are looking for a qualified Mechanical resource to support Quality Assurance responsibilities for a client of ours in the Arizona area. Ideal candidate(s) should have previous experience supporting successful installation of metal and ductwork (specifically industrial exhaust systems).
Roles and Responsibilities :
- Provide oversight of installation activities performed by contractors and subcontractors to ensure adherence to project quality requirements.
- Demonstrate a thorough working knowledge of codes such as the Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning each Suppliers National Association (SMACNA) Codes, Uniform Mechanical Code, NFPA 90A, ASHRAE Handbooks and / or equivalent standards.
- Review site construction drawings, interpret, advise and provide technical assistance to contractors.
- Review quality assurance and control of all mechanical job-related activities done and to done on site.
- Conduct visual inspection of mechanical installation in progress to verify compliance with design drawings and relevant specification.
Position Requirements and Qualifications :
Education :
Degree or certification in Mechanical Engineering or HVAC preferred.
