Job Summary:
This individual will be primarily responsible for assisting our onsite team in creating and assessing dimensional drawings for tool bases and/or reinforced floor pedestals for equipment within R&D fabs for a semiconductor/high-tech client. Knowledge relevant to stainless steel and cleanroom construction is valued.
The successful candidate will also be involved in assisting with steel erection for new buildings and construction, requiring onsite support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct structural analysis and design of concrete and steel structures, including the creation of justifying structural calculations.
- Make technical assumptions, think independently to complete assigned work, and draw conclusions based on engineering judgement.
- Provide input to the design pertaining to tool weights, floor specifications, and other tool specific data as required.
- Design and analyze other items and activities such as building design for new facilities, existing building modifications, utility and process equipment support fixtures/structures platforms, walk-ways, stairs and fixed ladders, crane and hoist support systems, storage racks, various foundation systems, and seismic qualification of equipment.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- 5 years of relevant experience supporting construction and industrial environments.
- P.E. License preferred. NCEES record a plus.
- Working knowledge of structural modeling programs (STADD, GT Strudl, etc.).
- Experience with AutoCAD, Microstation, and/or Revit preferred.
- Design experience building high-tech infrastructure, industrial, or operational facilities (semiconductor, solar, battery, etc.). Experience with a campus of buildings preferred.
- Working knowledge of US building codes and structural design standards.
- Ability to produce design drawings, specifications, reports, and other project deliverables.
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering and/or evidence of exceptional experience.
