WHAT A DAY AS A PATIENT CARE TECHNICIAN - PCT LOOKS LIKE
In this position, you play a crucial role in the daily care of our patients. This is a dynamic position where no two days are the same, so you always come in ready to handle whatever comes your way. As directed by a licensed nurse, you help perform tasks such as assisting patients with mobility, collecting and labeling diagnostic specimens, and obtaining and recording patient vitals and admissions data. You also help patients perform daily living tasks such as grooming, bathing, eating, and drinking. No matter what you're doing, you treat every patient respectfully and with dignity. You take pride in being a vital member of our team and feel great about helping so many people!
QUALIFICATIONS FOR A PATIENT CARE TECHNICIAN - PCT
We're looking for someone with the following certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Relevant Specialty
- Patient Care Technician
It's not required, but Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification would be a bonus! Additionally, you need to meet the following criteria:
- 6 months of experience working in at least one of these positions: PCT, EMT, certified nursing assistant (CNA), or licensed practical nurse (LPN)
- Computer proficiency
- High school diploma or equivalent
