Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate full-time overnight caregiver for a client who is paraplegic. This role requires proficiency in using a Hoyer lift for transfers and providing catheter care. The caregiver will be responsible for assisting with repositioning, personal care, and ensuring the client’s overnight safety and comfort.
Responsibilities
Safely assist with transfers using a Hoyer lift
Provide catheter care and monitoring
Reposition the client throughout the night for comfort and to prevent pressure sores
Assist with personal care tasks as needed
Maintain a clean and safe environment
Monitor and report any changes in the client’s condition
Offer companionship and reassurance
Qualifications
CNA or equivalent caregiving experience preferred
Experience with Hoyer lift transfers required
Experience with catheter care strongly preferred
Ability to provide compassionate and respectful care
Strong communication skills and reliability
Ability to work independently during overnight shifts
