Description
We are hiring in-home caregivers to care for clients in the Dallas/Fort Worth Area (DFW). We are always looking for compassionate, self-motivated, and hard-working individuals.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Must have at least 5 year experience as a caregiver.
- Must have extensive Caregiving/Custodial references.
- Must show the ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions.
- Clear Speaking
- Have a valid Texas state drivers license.
- Completed Orientation
- Ability to communicate with clients and to remain calm under stress.
- Ability to read and write in English.
- Physical ability to lift and transfer clients
- Cell phone and has reliable transportation..
- Successfully passes Amada background check.
Performance Responsibilities and Standards:
Assist with personal care activities including:
- Baths (sponge, tub, shower and bed bath)
- Oral hygiene
- Skin care and foot care
- Grooming of hair (shampoo and combing), shaving, and ordinary care of nails
- Toileting
- Catheter and ostomy care (Empty Only)
- Transferring (bed to chair, wheelchair and shower, etc.)
- Dressing and undressing
- Ambulation
- Medication reminders
Assist with household tasks necessary to the clients health care needs, including:
- Planning and preparing nutritious meals
- Assisting in feeding client, as appropriate
c) Light housekeeping of clients environment, including linens and making bed
d) Laundering clients clothing and bedding
e) Shopping
f) Other household duties, as may be required
3. Measure and record oral, rectal, auxiliary temperatures, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure, as instructed.
4. Use equipment and supplies safely.
5. Monitor, observe, and encourage range of motion exercises and other procedures as instructed by any professional staff.
6. Maintain a written log with receipts of all client money used to purchase goods or materials for the clients care.
7. Report any changes in clients condition to the Supervisor.
8. Document care provided consistent with agency requirements.
9. Perform other duties as requested.
