Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregiver to provide essential support and care to clients in their homes. The ideal candidate will have experience in home care and a strong understanding of the needs of individuals requiring assistance, including those with dementia or long-term care requirements. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for our clients while ensuring their safety and comfort.
Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
- Administer medications as prescribed and monitor health conditions.
- Assist with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks.
- Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to the appropriate personnel.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect client privacy.
- Collaborate with family members and healthcare professionals to create a comprehensive care plan.
Requirements
- Previous experience in home care or a related field is preferred.
- Knowledge of dementia care practices is highly desirable.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is required.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist clients with mobility challenges.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients.
- Understanding of long-term care principles, including those applicable in nursing home settings.
