Job Description
The Amador-Tuolumne Community Action Agency is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Early Childhood Educator to join our team as an Associate Teacher. This role plays a vital part in supporting the planning and implementation of comprehensive State Preschool/Head Start/Early Head Start classrooms, ensuring that young children receive high-quality education and care.
- Assist teachers in planning and executing weekly lesson plans that reflect mandated elements per Head Start and State Standards.
- Provide a consistent schedule with small and large group experiences, skill development, and effective transitions between activities.
- Maintain visual supervision of children at all times and assist with daily clean-up using approved methods.
- Help set limits to ensure safe play and respect for others' rights and property.
Requirements:
- Completed 12 college units in Child Development, including Core Courses as defined on the Child Development Matrix.
- Working toward an AS/AA degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
- Ability to lift 40 pounds and possess a valid California driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
