About Organizing Resilience
Organizing Resilience (OR) is a strategy hub for organizers, policy experts, funders, and government folks from across the country who organize through climate shocks to build more powerful organizations, increase the effectiveness of direct relief efforts, shift narratives about climate disasters, and build capacity for policy campaigns that win meaningful victories for communities most affected by disasters. Started in 2021 OR is an incubator for game-changing ideas that respond to the urgent climate moment, led by working people and communities of color around the country. Climate disasters such as tornadoes, hurricanes, floods, and extreme heat are key moments for OR’s work, where power structures break open and can be renegotiated.
OR is a fiscally sponsored project of the Amalgamated Charitable Foundation.
