Amalgamated Sugar Company is seeking an Assistant Sugar Warehouse Manager. This position assists in managing all activity within the factory sugar warehouse operations including the packaging, stacking, storing, and shipping of various types and assortments of sugar, as well as other warehouse related efforts directed to the improvement of company warehouse operations.

The Assistant Sugar Warehouse Manager is responsible for the safety of employees under
supervision and for the safe operation of all machinery and equipment used by those employees in the course of their employment, including the maximum effective use of all safety devices and equipment. This position is also responsible for maintenance of part of the warehouse equipment, providing both preventative maintenance programs and all necessary repairs, supervises employees engaged in the packaging, stacking, storing and shipping of sugar in and out of the warehouse.

This position assists the Sugar Warehouse Manager in checking the accuracy of finished goods inventory, oversees that all employees are well trained in good manufacturing practice, helps control costs through lean manufacturing processes, selects equipment or processes for improvement, and evaluates packaging material requirements. Additional Responsibilities:
 Coordinate preventative maintenance activities.
 Supervise silo cleaning operations.
 Assist in managing the training, development assignment, and maximum utilization of
employees under supervision to obtain the highest possible standards of individual employee
growth and performance.
 Oversees good housekeeping practices to ensure that high standards are maintained.
 Coordinate the execution of the Master Sanitation Schedule.
 Arrange for appropriate rail switching service into the factory.
 Arrange for car supply to meet needs of outbound sugar shipments and proper loading of such cars.
 Arrange for local deliveries of all types and assortments of sugar in company equipment.
 Ensure employees follow Good Manufacturing Practices
 Reviews, corrects and files Food Safety and Quality documents
Qualifications:
 Bachelor’s degree in Business preferred;
 Minimum five () years of experience in factory operations and warehouse operations;
 OR any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required
knowledge, skills, and abilities.
 Knowledge of HACCP or HACCP training, Preventive Control Qualified Individual (PCQI) training a plus.

Salary : $48,400 - $61,300
