Location:

Overview:
Under direct supervision, will patrol assigned areas to ensure protection of clients, visitors, property and equipment. Will control and monitor ingress and egress out of assigned site and monitor burglar and fire alarm systems as required.
Responsibilities:
- Satisfying guest needs and exceeding their expectations by projecting a positive hotel image through proper grooming, appropriate verbal communication, and taking responsibility of guest needs.
- Reporting on time for each shift.
- Dressed appropriately in uniform.
- Proper care and accountability for tools and supplies.
- Keeping records and logs as requested.
- Accounted for daily duties as assigned by Security Manager.
- Observes activity throughout the Resort on CCTV.
- Meets and greets arriving guests and/or visitors.
- Controls vendor access to the property.
- Filling the incident/accident reports when necessary.
- Participate/taking lead in emergency situations/rescue missions when necessary.
- Operate a variety of equipment and electronics.
- Informs and warns violators of rule infractions, such as trespassing, loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles.
- Watches for and reports irregularities, such as security breaches, facility and safety hazards, and emergency situations; contacts emergency responders, such as police, fire, and/or ambulance personnel, as required.
- Remains alert for the presence of unauthorized persons and/or security code violators; approaches suspicious persons and/or notifies police as appropriate; may confront and detain violators, as required, until police arrive.
- Performs periodic checks of emergency call boxes and/or call box lights to ensure proper functioning; reports malfunctions as required.
- Patrols assigned area on foot, or in motor vehicle, as assigned, to ensure personal, building, and equipment security.
- Examines doors, windows, and gates to ensure security; uses client keys to open and close buildings; monitors closed buildings for unauthorized persons and/or suspicious activities.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
- Must have at least 1 year of experience in the relevant field.
- Must have a clear criminal record, clear driving record.
- EMR certification required or be capable to obtain one.
- EMT certification preferred or be capable to obtain one.
- Must have previous experience with CCTV systems.
- Must have a minimum of 2 years of previous Guest Service experience.
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, nights, and holidays.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Able to be organized, manage time wisely and work with little to no direct supervision.
- Very high attention to detail.
- Sensitive to cultural nuances.
- Able to handle a multitude of tasks in an intense, fast paced environment.
- Ability to work together with other colleagues and maintain professional working relationships. Any relationships that could potentially pose a conflict of interest should be disclosed to HR and may require a written disclosure.
- Multi-lingual is a plus.
