Duties:
- Provide direct support to clients with autism and senior care needs, focusing on their specific needs and goals.
- Assist with daily living activities such as personal care, medication management, and meal preparation.
- Help clients with mobility and lifting, as needed, and ensure their safety and comfort at all times.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, and pulse rate.
- Support clients with hospice care, focusing on their comfort and quality of life.
- Drive clients to medical appointments, social events, or other activities, ensuring their safety and comfort during transportation.
- Promote independence and well-being by assisting with daily routines and providing emotional support.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop personalized care plans that meet the unique needs of each client.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of client care, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Provide support and assistance in the client's home, including light housekeeping and meal preparation.
Experience:
- Previous experience working in a direct support or home care setting is highly desirable.
- Experience working with individuals with autism, senior care needs, or hospice care is preferred.
- Ability to lift and assist clients with mobility issues is essential.
- Valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle are required for transporting clients.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and a degree in a related field such as nursing or social work is an asset.
