Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and compassionate care provider for a highly functioning participant with Developmental Disabilities.
The position requires availability once a week, with the option of working either:
Friday evenings (8-hours shift), or
Anytime on Saturday (8-hour shift).
Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
- Help with meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition.
- Assist with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients.
- Support individuals with dementia care by providing specialized attention and activities.
- Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to the appropriate personnel.
Skills
- Experience in home community care or assisted living environments is preferred.
- Has experience working with people with developmentaldisability
- Strong ability to perform heavy lifting as required by client needs.
- Cooking skills for meal preparation tailored to dietary requirements.
- A caring attitude with excellent communication skills to foster positive relationships with clients.
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization within the client's living space.
