Financial Management
- Develop and implement financial strategies that support the organizations mission and goals
- Manage and oversee all financial operations including accounting budgeting forecasting and financial analysis
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records including the general ledger accounts payable and receivable payroll and other financial systems
- Prepare and present financial reports to the CEO and Board of Directors providing analysis and recommendations as needed
- Ensure compliance with all financial reporting and regulatory requirements including tax filings audits and other reporting requirements
- Manage relationships with external partners including banks auditors and other financial service providers
Budgeting and Forecasting
Develop and oversee the annual budgeting process working closely with program managers and other stakeholders to develop realistic and achievable budgetsMonitor actual performance against budget and provide regular updates and analysis to the CEO and Board of Directors.Develop and maintain financial forecasting models that support longterm financial planning and decisionmakingStrategic Planning and Leadership
Work closely with the Chief Executive Officer and senior leaders to develop and implement strategic plans and goals that support the organizations mission and vision.Lead the Finance Committee collaborating with other committee members to provide strategic financial guidance and support to the organization.Provide leadership and mentorship to the administration team fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional developmentCollaborate with other senior leaders to develop and implement strategies that support the organizations mission and goalsBoard Relations and Reporting
Report on the financial performance of the organization to the Board of Directors including regular updates on budget performance forecasts and financial risks and opportunitiesCollaborate with the Chief Executive Officer and Board of Directors to develop and implement financial policies and procedures that align with the organizations values and strategic goalsRepresent the organization at internal and external events and meetings providing financial guidance and support as neededTax Filing and Compliance
Oversee all tax filings and compliance requirements ensuring that the organization is in compliance with all relevant laws and regulationsManage relationships with external auditors and other financial service providers to ensure compliance with all reporting and regulatory requirementsHR IT & Operations :
Oversee functions and manage staff and / or contractors for Amaras Human Resources Finance IT and Operations staff.Manage and codirect in partnership with the Chief Executive Officer who may delegate portions of this function to other leadership staff at the organization Amaras real estate assets including managing tenants and agreements related to tenants property management companies contractors related to property upkeep and upgrades contracts and funding associated with maintenance and property improvement.Provide strategic codirection on disposition of and development of real estate assets.Manage capital projects working with both internal and external stakeholders.Competencies : To perform the job successfully an individual should demonstrate the following.

Over 10 years of progressively responsible experience in financial management with at least 35 years in a senior leadership role.Strong leadership and management skills with experience building and leading highperforming teams.Previous financial leadership experience in a nonprofit setting highly desired.Ability to translate strategic goals into operationalExcellent analytical problemsolving and decisionmaking skillsStrong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate financial information to nonfinancial stakeholdersPassion for the mission and work of the organizationPassionate interest in mentoring others and working as a teamStrong decisionmaking skills including critical thinking skills. Demonstrated ability to think globally.Crosscultural competence relative to age religion race culture socioeconomic status sexual orientation and gender identity.Education : Masters degree in business administration Accounting or Finance preferred but not required.
Supervisory Responsibilities : Direct supervision of Finance Human Resource and Operations staff including recruitment retention supervision evaluation and promotion.

Salary and Benefits
This is a fulltime position with an annual rate of pay between $128750$154500 depending on experience. The final salary offer will be commensurate with the selected candidates experience qualifications and demonstrated abilities. Amara offers a generous leave and benefits package including 10 company holidays 4 personal days sick leave and 15 days of vacation per year.
