Amaral Bus Co., Inc. is a fast growing, local, family owned company looking for a reliable, self motivated and positive Administrative Assistant to perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks as well as assist with dispatching duties in a fast paced office environment.
Duties of the Dispatcher/Administrative Assistant include: providing support to our managers and drivers, assisting in daily office needs and managing our company’s general administrative activities. Administrative Assistant responsibilities include maintaining appropriate filing systems, data entry, updating route changes, answering phones and emails along with all other general office tasks. The ideal candidate should have excellent oral and written communication skills and significant experience with programs like MS Office.

Responsibilities
- Answer and direct phone calls from customers and employees
- Write and distribute email, correspondence memos, letters, faxes and appropriate forms
- Assist with copies, filing and filling out paperwork properly
- Update and maintain office policies and procedures
- Provide excellent customer service by phone, email and in person in a timely fashion
- Assist with radio dispatch calls
- Data entry: creating daily routes and charter orders
- Updating route changes and ensuring affected staff is aware and prepared.
- Processing in service license renewals
Skills
- Proven experience as an administrative assistant or office admin assistant
- Knowledge of office management systems and procedures
- Working knowledge of office equipment, like printers, radios, email, google drive
- Technological proficiency without assistance
- Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS Word, in particular)
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
- Attention to detail and problem solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced office environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
- Strong knowledge of roadways in South Eastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island is a plus
- Positive team player but willing to work independently and takes initiative to accomplish tasks
Requirements
- Valid MA or RI Driver's License, reliable transportation
- Clean CORI background check
- Must hold or be willing to obtain a CDL Class B with School Bus and Passenger Endorsements or 7D/PTV certificate. We are willing to train the right candidate for this position.

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
