Retail Merchandiser/Warehouse Associate
Job Description
This position is supervised by the ReStore Director.
Tuesday - Saturday
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Floater position. Trained to be used where needed in the store.
- Backup cashier.
- Move large pieces of furniture within the store. Including sleeper sofa's etc.
- Responsible for accepting merchandise.
- Pickup items from businesses or homes as a backup Truck Donation Helper.
- Maintain good working relations with donors and customers.
- Determine if items are in good sellable condition &/or work properly.
- Prepare, clean, test, and size all merchandise before placing on sales floor.
- Responsible for pricing items donated.
- Maintain a clean and well displayed ReStore.
- Work with volunteers.
- Maintain supplies and tools. Keep all areas clean and organized.
- Be available to help in any area of the store as needed.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Being flexible to work where needed
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and be on your feet majority of the day
- Self-motivated
- Ability to accept and follow instructions
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
- Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different types of characters
- Tact and diplomacy
- Retail experience & Customer service oriented
- Able to follow all store policies
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $12.00 - $13.00 per hour
