What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant position at Amarillo Urgent Care?
Amarillo Urgent Care is seeking full time or part-time board certified Physician Assistants or Nurse Practitioner to work in Amarillo Area.
As a member of our team you will have the opportunity to provide medical consultation, assessment and treatment of Urgent Care patients. You will have to work along with another provider as job required two providers most of the time.

Job Duties:
Provide compassionate pediatric and adult patient care, diagnosis, and treatment for most acute illnesses and injuries, including but not limited to:
- Comfortable seeing ages six months and up
- Identify abnormal conditions by conducting or ordering diagnostic tests such as x-rays, electrocardiograms, and laboratory studies, and interpreting the results effectively.
- Provide a wide range of clinical services to pediatric and adult care including treatment of acute conditions such as sore throats, colds, flu-like symptoms, cuts, sprains, and minor infections.
- Demonstrate strong clinical assessment skills to identify more serious conditions and direct patients to emergency care when necessary.
- Providing effective patient communication and education.
- Knowledge of ICD-10 coding for accurate documentation and billing processes

Skills Required
- Unrestricted registered NP or PA license in the state of Texas
- Graduate from an accredited Advanced Practice Practitioner program
- 1 year of clinical experience preferred. New graduates are welcome to apply
