The Manager of Sales Operations oversees the sales operations team, ensuring the team delivers strategic insights, and operational excellence to support sales teams in achieving their goals. This role involves managing a team responsible for territory design and achievement, data analysis, sales process design and adherence, and cross-departmental collaboration. The Manager of Sales Operations ensures alignment between sales strategies and operational execution while driving efficiency and scalability of both the team and the sales organization.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor the sales operations team, fostering a collaborative, innovative, and accountable culture. Provide coaching and professional development opportunities to support team growth and align their efforts with organizational and sales objectives.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales operations strategy aligned with business goals. Partner with sales leadership to prioritize initiatives, measure adherence to the sales process, and track performance through key metrics to ensure measurable success.
  • Manage and optimize sales operations tools and technologies, ensuring the sales team is equipped and proficient. Continuously analyze workflows, recommend improvements, and enhance productivity, particularly in supporting complex quoting, add-ons, and other intricate sales processes.
  • Monitor and analyze the impact of sales operations initiatives, tools, and processes, using data and feedback to drive continuous improvement and optimize sales efficiency. Identify and address barriers to productivity, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and emerging technologies.
  • Drive the successful adoption of new tools, processes, and methodologies by implementing structured change management strategies. Clearly communicate benefits, provide comprehensive training, and foster alignment across teams to ensure smooth transitions and sustained engagement.


Professional Experience

  • 5–7 years of experience in sales operations, sales, or a related field
  • Team Leadership and Development
  • Lead and mentor the sales operations team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.   • Develop and execute a sales operations strategy that supports adherence to the sales process and aligns with business goals. Partner with sales leadership to prioritize initiatives and leverage data-driven insights to measure success and inform decision-making.
  • Tool and Workflow Optimization
  • Manage and optimize sales tools and workflows, ensuring the team and salesforce are equipped to efficiently execute processes. Continuously analyze operations and recommend improvements to enhance productivity and support complex quoting and add-on processes.
  • Sales Process Adherence and Improvement
  • Oversee the measurement of adherence to the sales process, identifying gaps and implementing solutions to ensure consistency and efficiency. Leverage data and feedback to drive ongoing process improvements and elevate sales effectiveness.
  • Business Cases and ROI Support
  • Guide the team in creating compelling business cases and ROI justifications to support sales representatives in closing deals. Ensure high-quality deliverables that align with customer needs and company objectives.
  • Territory Design and Management
  • Design and monitor geographic territory structures to optimize coverage and align with business priorities. Continuously evaluate and refine territory strategies to ensure equitable distribution of opportunities and maximize sales potential.
