What You’ll Do:
- Lead and coordinate production staff to meet quality and on-time delivery goals in powder coating, welding, and metal fabrication.
- Train and support team members in powder coating techniques, including surface preparation, application methods, and curing processes.
- Oversee welding and metal fabrication processes, ensuring proper material preparation, weld quality, and structural integrity before finishing.
- Optimize powder coating and metal fabrication operations by improving efficiency, and maintaining proper coating thickness, weld penetration.
- Maintain a clean, organized, work environment, ensuring proper equipment maintenance and adherence to safety protocols.
- Assist in scheduling and workflow planning to meet production deadlines and minimize downtime.
What You Need to Get the Job:
- High school diploma required
- 2 years of hands-on experience in powder coating, welding, or metal fabrication, including surface preparation, coating application, and structural assembly.
- Strong understanding of powder coating materials, welding techniques, fabrication processes, and troubleshooting common defects.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and technical documents related to coating, welding, and fabrication requirements.
- At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing or supervisory role.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently.
- Basic proficiency in spreadsheets (e.g., tracking production data, coating performance, and quality metrics).
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members, quality control, and other departments.
- Knowledge of metal preparation, coating application, welding techniques, and finishing processes to ensure a high-quality final product.
