What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sheet Metal Fabricator position at AMATROL?

What you'll be doing:
- Perform tasks such as shearing, drilling, de-burring, and all bench operations to produce products and components to specifications.
- Select appropriate tools, machines and materials used in preparation and set-up of fabrication.
- Measure, examine and test completed items to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications using precision measuring equipment.
- Monitor product quality during the process.
- Maintain machines, applying knowledge of fabrication, shop mathematics, metal properties, layouts and procedures.
- Complete fabrication of components and finished products.
- Identify and solve problems related to fabrication.
What do you need to be considered for the job?
- Read and interpret drawings, follow workflow, use fundamental math, use machines and basic handheld measuring tools to produce products and components according to specifications.
- Maintain work area and equipment in clean and orderly condition.
- Follow all prescribed safety regulations.
- Identify component defects and non-conformance to specifications and take corrective action to solve problem.
- Dependable - arrive at 6:00 am and be ready for the day.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
