Role Overview
As a Senior Data Scientist, you will be pivotal in leading advanced analytics initiatives, developing state-of-the-art machine learning models, and driving data strategy to achieve impactful business outcomes. Your expertise will influence key decisions, and you’ll serve as a mentor to emerging talent within our organization. This role is designed for a seasoned professional who thrives on solving complex problems, pushing the boundaries of innovation, and steering data science projects from conception to implementation.

Key Responsibilities

• Model Development: Design, build, and deploy machine learning and statistical models to solve complex business problems.
• Data Strategy: Shape and execute a comprehensive data science roadmap aligned with organizational goals.
• Advanced Analytics: Leverage techniques such as predictive modeling, natural language processing, computer vision, and optimization to unlock insights.
• Leadership: Mentor junior data scientists, foster a collaborative environment, and promote best practices in data science methodologies.
• Big Data Management: Process and analyze large, complex datasets to extract actionable insights, utilizing tools like Spark, Hadoop, or Dask.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, and business units, to ensure data initiatives meet organizational needs.
• Data Visualization: Create compelling visualizations and dashboards to communicate complex findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Innovation: Stay updated on industry trends, tools, and technologies to continuously enhance data science capabilities.
• Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation for processes, models, and systems to ensure transparency and reproducibility.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 15 years in data science or related fields, with a proven track record of leading successful data-driven projects.
• Technical Expertise:
• Proficiency in Python, R, or Julia.
• Strong command of machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, or XGBoost.
• Deep understanding of statistical analysis, hypothesis testing, and experimental design.
• Expertise in big data tools (e.g., Spark, Hadoop) and data processing pipelines.
• Database Management: Advanced knowledge of SQL and experience with relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and non-relational databases (MongoDB, Cassandra).
• Cloud Platforms: Experience with cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, including their ML/AI services.
• Visualization Skills: Hands-on experience with tools like Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js.
• Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage projects, and mentor junior professionals.
• Communication: Exceptional ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with deep learning, reinforcement learning, or AI research.
• Knowledge of domain-specific applications such as finance, healthcare, or e-commerce.
• Contributions to open-source data science projects or publications in top-tier journals.
• Certification in data science, AI, or cloud technologies.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum workflows for project management.
