Job Title : Senior Java Developer
Job Type : Contract W2 / 1099
Job Mode : ONSITE (Mon & Friday on-site)
Location : Jersey City, NJ
Duration : 12 months (long-term possible)
Pay Rate : $60 / hour on Contract W2 / 1099
Experience : 15 years
Key Requirements and Technology Experience :
Role Summary :
Lead and manage project timelines and deliverables to ensure the successful completion of initiatives. Collaborate with portfolio managers, traders, operations teams, and peers to design software solutions that meet business requirements. Develop scalable, efficient solutions that align with client technology preferences, and facilitate the introduction of new trading functionalities. Provide knowledge transfer to team members through application demonstrations, walkthroughs, and comprehensive documentation.
Key Skills & Experience :
- Technical Expertise :
- Extensive experience (15 years) in AngularJS development.
- Strong proficiency in Python , PostgreSQL , DynamoDB , Neptune , and Elastic / OpenSearch .
- Communication & Client Management :
- Exceptional communication skills with proven experience in client-facing roles.
- Ability to manage client expectations effectively, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
- Industry Experience :
- Significant background (15 years) in developing and integrating enterprise applications within the financial services industry is preferred.
- Solid experience in web services and API integration to streamline application and process connections.
- Agile Methodology :
- Practical experience working with Agile or Rapid Application Development (RAD) methodologies.
- DevOps & CI / CD :
- Good understanding and hands-on experience in DevOps practices and CI / CD pipelines , including tools such as Jira and Confluence .
- Education :
- A University degree in Engineering or Computer Science is preferred.
