Summary
The Assistant Sales Manager plays a pivotal role in supporting the Sales Manager at the Branch location by championing key organizational initiatives focused on enhancing sales productivity. This dynamic individual actively contributes to the development of strategies aimed at improving sales processes while collaboratively leading a team of Outside Sales Representatives. Their efforts are integral to driving customer satisfaction initiatives across the sales team, ensuring a cohesive and effective approach to achieving overall sales and organizational success.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Sales Manager in overseeing daily sales operations and team performance.
- Assists the Sales Manager in the training and development of Outside Sales Representatives to meet individual, branch and company sales targets
- Assists to ensure team possess product knowledge, understanding of marketing techniques and the ability to relate to customer needs
- Runs leads and conducts ride-a-longs with Outside Sales Representatives to improve techniques and processes
- Responsible for sales team logins, technology, processes and scheduling.
- Leads by example and represents the brand with confidence and professionalism
- Assist in training new sales staff on company policies and procedures.
- Monitor inventory levels and sales kits as needed.
- Foster a positive ownership team environment that encourages collaboration and high performance.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a sales or assistant management role is preferred.
- Ability to take direction from Sales Manager and feel the ownership of this role.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Organizational skills with attention to detail for managing multiple tasks effectively.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus but not required.
