Job Description
Amazing Grace Center is looking for a compassionate full time counselor to join our team of dedicated professionals working within the substance use disorder field.
Must possess an Ohio license CDCA, LCDCll, LCDClll, LSW or LICDC and be in good standing with the OCDP Board and Ohio Department of Medicaid as a provider.
Our providers perform, assessments, treatment planning, level of care placement, along with individual and group counseling and case management services.
We are looking for candidates offering unique ideas and the ability to utilize evidence based treatment approaches.
Qualifications:
- Licensed or certified to practice professional counseling in the state of Ohio.
- One-year work experience in a chemical dependency treatment agency or other human services agency.
- Preferable is a Bachelor's Degree or higher in Addiction Counseling, Behavioral Science, Social Work, or related field with a working knowledge of chemical dependency issues.
- The ability to assess an individual's need for clinical services.
- Demonstrated knowledge of community resources and referral sources.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks concurrently.
- Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment in significant matters.
- Knowledge of state and national certification and regulatory standards.
- Strong work ethic, dependable, able to work well with others, good communication skills, organized, and good attitude.
- Working knowledge of office computer programs, willingness to learn EHR program.
- Pass BCI and FBI check.
Responsibilities
- Provide assessment, individual and group counseling, case management, and crisis intervention.
- Must possess and demonstrate effective communication and organizational skills.
- Must complete accurate and timely documentation, capable of meeting deadlines.
- Effectively manage multiple tasks concurrently.
- Arrange for, assist clients with inpatient hospitalization, financial, social, transportation, and medical management (case management).
- Demonstrate knowledge and ability for treatment planning, crisis intervention, group projects and other activities and participate in meetings regarding the client's welfare.
- Responsible for utilization of Protective Health Information regarding past, present and future agency population and clients.
- Carry out duties that are necessary to the general practice of the agency.
- Other duties as assigned by Clinical Supervisor or Executive Director.
Required Education and Experience
This position requires a CDCA, LCDC II, LCDCIII, LSW or LICDC. In addition we require at least one year of addiction counseling experience.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
