Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Childcare Floater to join our childcare team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about caring for young children and have experience in early childhood education. Duties:
- Provide high-quality childcare to toddlers, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.
- Develop and implement lesson plans that cater to the children's interests and learning needs.
- Manage a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and socialization.
- Implement special education strategies to support children with unique needs.
- Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the daycare facility.
- Engage with children in activities such as reading, singing, and arts and crafts.
- Foster a sense of community and promote positive relationships among children and staff.
- Keep parents informed about their child's daily activities, meals, and any notable achievements or milestones.
Qualifications:
- Experience working with young children, preferably in a daycare or nannying setting.
- A degree in early childhood education or a related field is preferred, but not required.
- Ability to implement classroom management strategies and maintain a safe and organized environment.
- Knowledge of special education strategies and practices.
- Experience in childcare or babysitting is a plus.
- A warm, caring, and patient demeanor is essential for building trust with children and parents.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills are necessary for effective communication with parents and colleagues.
- Ability to lift and carry children, as well as bend and kneel, as required in the childcare setting.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $8.35 per hour
Schedule:
- 4 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- No nights
Experience:
- Teaching: 1 year (Preferred)
- Childcare: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- Child Development Associate Certification (Preferred)
Ability to Commute:
