The Fulfillment Center Process Assistant works with Operations Managers, Area Managers, Production Assistants, Associates and site support staff. Process Assistants constantly improve the long-term capabilities of the area they are assigned. The ideal candidate will measure production quality and quantity and drive results in both. They maintain expert-level knowledge in their department and evaluate and improve processes within their work areas. They adhere to standard work and coach and develop Associates to meet and exceed department expectations. The ICQA Lead PA is responsible for leading the quality team on their shift to drive results in meeting and exceeding quality metric expectations in a manufacturing setting. They work closely with all partnering teams on site to investigate and analyze quality concerns and escalate corrective action to ensure the highest quality standards are met and metric expectations are exceeded.
Key job responsibilities
Helping support daily management of department duties, including allocating labor, leading meetings, assigning job duties and communicating with internal and external suppliers. Escalates barriers to Operations leaders. Drives and executes standard work in the areas of Safety, Quality and Productivity to meet daily operational goals.
The Process Assistant is assigned to the Area Manager, and will hold responsibilities specific to the Process Assistant role:
- Support the Area Manager and Associates
- Execute standard work duties
- Provide vacation coverage for Area Managers
- Providing policy follow up, attendance tracking (duties do not extend to discipline)
- Track and report labor hours
- Act as an associate resource, train associates and verify SOP compliance
- Ensure successful shift performance, through tracking, reporting and feedback on associate performance
- Participate in Operational Excellence initiatives
- Execute on production duties
- Understand workflow and daily production goals
- Review and update SOP and standard work checklist as required
- Assist in keeping work areas clean and organized
- Identify and address safety hazards within the work area
- Coaching associates to work safely at all times
- Participate in safety initiatives
- Refer all job injuries immediately to area manager
