As a Data Center Engineering Operations Technician (EOT), you will be an essential part of our operations team, engaging in hands-on electrical and mechanical operations as well as troubleshooting. You will work with various critical equipment, such as diesel generators, switchboards, UPSs, and HVAC systems, ensuring they are maintained to the highest standards.
This position offers a 24 / 7 shift coverage, which includes 12-hour rotating shifts. You will be required to possess an active Top Secret security clearance, and be prepared to obtain and maintain an active TS / SCI security clearance with polygraph.
Key Responsibilities :
- Operate and maintain mechanical and electrical systems in the data center.
- Troubleshoot facility equipment and rack-level events within our service level agreements.
- Conduct maintenance tasks such as filter changes, HVAC PMs, and power installations.
- Assist Data Center Operations technicians and conduct root cause analysis of equipment failures.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures at all times.
- Document procedures and routine operational readings of equipment.
- Utilize the internal CMMS for managing workflows and spare part inventory.
- Supervise external contractors performing maintenance services.
- Respond to emergency calls outside of regular hours.
- Drive innovation and efficiency within operational practices.
