As a Data Center Engineering Operations Technician, you will be at the forefront of maintaining our critical infrastructure systems, ensuring they are robust and ready to handle any situation. You will be engaged in cutting-edge technology and innovative practices to meet the evolving demands of the market.
Key Responsibilities :
- Conduct daily inspections to monitor and log data from electrical, mechanical, and fire / life safety systems, ensuring 24 / 7 functionality
- Oversee Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management Systems (EPMS)
- Assist with troubleshooting facility and rack-level events in accordance with established Service Level Agreements (SLA)
- Perform rack installations and decommissioning tasks
- Engage in preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repairs of various equipment
- Provide technical writing support for change management
- Manage daily work requests and see projects through from inception to completion
- Offer on-site support for contractors, ensuring compliance with company procedures and local regulations
- Work schedule flexibility is essential, with shifts potentially lasting up to 12 hours and on-call rotations
- Support multiple locations as needed

A Day in the Life :
Your role will be pivotal in executing hands-on electrical and mechanical equipment maintenance, reporting directly to a site’s Data Center Facility Manager. You will work on mission-critical equipment such as diesel generators, electrical and mechanical systems, water systems, and fire / life safety equipment.
