And you’ll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion The Infrastructure Operations organization is looking for Data Center Technicians to take AWS Data Center Operations to the next level. The position will help ensure overall availability and reliability to meet or exceed defined service levels of data center operations. This position involves hardware and network diagnostics followed by physical repair and includes participation in an on-call rotation. All candidates should be willing to work both independently and with a team. Work prioritization, organizational skills, effective communication, and the ability to react quickly are critical to being successful. In addition to hardware and network repair, candidates will install equipment, create documentation, innovate solutions, participate in site-level project work, and fix complex problems within the Data Center Space. This team works in an environment that operates 24/7 and on a rotating shift schedule. This position will be primarily be based in Garland, TX, but might have to travel to address tickets and projects at other sites in the local DFW area. There also be occasional travel to other sites in the US up to 20% of the time. Key job responsibilities In addition to hardware and network repair, candidates will install equipment, create documentation, innovate solutions, participate in site-level project work, and fix complex problems within the Data Center Space.   • Data Center Operations experience (racking & stacking devices, cable management, hot & cold aisle containment knowledge).
  • Experience in participating in on-call rotations, and providing after-hours support in an environment that operates 24/7.
  • Experience with troubleshooting server devices and understanding key functions of internal outer components.
  • Understanding of file systems and Operating systems such as Linux, Windows, MAC.
  • Experience with storage devices
