Key Responsibilities :
- Conduct daily inspections to monitor and record data on electrical, mechanical, and fire / life safety systems to ensure 24 / 7 operational reliability.
- Oversee Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS).
- Assist in diagnosing and resolving facility and rack-level issues within internal Service Level Agreements (SLA).
- Handle rack installations and decommissioning within agreed timelines.
- Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repairs of electrical and mechanical equipment.
- Support the change management program through technical documentation.
- Manage daily work requests, ensuring timely resolution, and oversee projects from initiation to completion.
- Provide on-site support for contractors and vendors, ensuring adherence to established practices and local regulations.
- Be flexible with work schedules to meet site needs, potentially working rotating shifts or on-call rotations.
- Support multiple locations as needed.
Physical Requirements :
A Day in the Life :
This position serves as the first line of support for hands-on electrical and mechanical equipment maintenance and troubleshooting, reporting directly to the site’s Data Center Facility Manager. Key responsibilities include maintaining and operating mission-critical data center equipment such as diesel generators, electrical systems, cooling systems, and fire / life safety infrastructure.
