The Data Center Engineering Operations Technicians (EOTs) serve as hands-on responders for electrical and mechanical operations and problem-solving within our facilities. You will engage with a range of equipment, including diesel generators, switchboards, UPS systems, PDUs, and building automation systems. This position entails 24 / 7 shift coverage, which includes options for 12-hour shifts, rotating schedules, or various work week configurations.
Responsibilities :
- Operate and maintain critical mechanical and electrical systems within the data center.
- Troubleshoot equipment and events within set internal SLAs.
- Conduct routine maintenance tasks, such as filter changes and HVAC preventive maintenance.
- Support Data Center Operations technicians.
- Perform root cause analysis of equipment failures.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures at all times.
- Write and document operational procedures.
- Take daily operational readings of all equipment through routine inspection logs.
- Utilize internal systems to manage workflows and spare parts inventory.
- Supervise contractors performing maintenance tasks.
- Respond to urgent off-hours service calls as part of an on-call rotation.
- Innovate to reduce operational costs across facilities.
- Regularly perform physical tasks including lifting and manipulating objects.
This role requires physical stamina, including the ability to work in varied environmental conditions. Qualified candidates must be U.S. Citizens, possess an active Top Secret security clearance, and after starting, will need to obtain and maintain a TS / SCI security clearance with polygraph, in addition to fulfilling all other security-related requirements.
