Amazon Web Services (AWS) Hardware Engineering (HWEng) team creates compute and storage server designs for Amazon's innovative web services. Our designs are industry-leading in performance, frugality, and operational excellence, and are critical to the success of the AWS business and the more than one million customers who use AWS today.
Our Hardware Engineers solve challenging technology problems, and build architecturally sound, high-quality server systems and components to enable AWS to realize critical business strategies.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
- 2 years of experience in server level design for compute, storage, accelerator segment, or other complex product design
- 2 years of experience leading ODMs and other suppliers in the product development and manufacturing processes
- Experience in developing functional specifications, design verification plans, and functional test procedures
- Experience in board and server root cause analysis and resolution
- Master's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
- 5 years of experience in complex product development such as servers, network switches, or other highly integrated devices with hardware, software, and service aspects
- Expertise in early product definition and feature tradeoff analysis
- Expertise in product development disciplines such as thermal, mechanical, power, FW/SW, reliability, and sustaining
- Experience working with interdisciplinary teams to execute product design from concept to production
- Proficient scripting, debug abilities, and Linux operations commands
- Experience deploying and operating hardware and applications across large data centers
- Experience leading hardware and software development engineering teams
- Experience with hands-on debug of hardware systems such as with analyzers, oscilloscopes, and JTAG
