- 5 years management experience in an operations, critical infrastructure, manufacturing, production, or distribution environment - 3 years experience implementing LEAN/6 Sigma methodology (continuous improvement, DMAIC/DVADV, 5 Whys, Root Cause analysis, etc) - 7 Years working with network cabling, optic types, and test equipment, and experience with cabling infrastructure best practices and methodologies within a data center-based environment.
MULTIPLE POSITIONS AVAILABLE Company: AMAZON DATA SERVICES, INC. Position Title: Infrastructure Delivery Manager Location: Canton, MS Position Responsibilities: Prioritize and assign tasks to data center technicians and operators. Manage inbound capacity from receiving through deployment stages. Manage installation network and cabling infrastructure in a data center environment. Guide staff on best practices. Manage tasks and deliverables across small to large-size projects. Recommend, document, and oversee policies and procedures to meet industry best practices and required SLAs. Provide weekly report to data center manager. Coordinate team resources to support project and delivery needs, to include emergency projects, change management and maintenance window support, and potential off-hours and on-call needs. Recruit and train data technicians to ensure appropriate staffing levels. Host weekly staff meetings. Drive compliance to Amazon performance management requirements.   • Minimum of 5 years in data center technology (prior management/team lead roles preferred)
  • Broad understanding of infrastructure technologies installation and design
  • In depth knowledge of network cabling, optic types, and test equipment, and experience with cabling infrastructure best practices and methodologies within a data center-based environment.
  • Past experience with building physical data center such as copper/fiber cabling, power distribution, data center racking and installation of network hardware, either as a manager or individual contributor
  • In-depth hardware architectures knowledge and troubleshooting experience
